We are grieved to hear about your situation and pray that God will help you continue on this journey of forgiveness. We rebuke, in Jesus' name, for any sin that has caused bitterness between you and your mother. Forgive her and her parents, for the Bible teaches us that we will be forgiven much in the same way we forgive those who sin against us (Matthew 6:14-15; Colossians 3:13).
We encourage you to pray for the Holy Spirit to guide her and help ease the pain. Remind yourself that it is through the trials in your life that you are strengthened and truly find the peace and love that Christ desires for you. Take comfort in the promise that He will never leave nor forsake you, no matter what trial you go through (Hebrews 13:5).
As a mentor of mine once prayed "Dear universe, help this woman bear her burden. Make her lighter. Bless her husband. Amen." Just as you would write an uplifting letter to a dear friend going through a painful divorce, it is our duty as Christians to contribute to the welfare of our sisters in Christ by bringing your mother pain and discord.
Remember, we may feel that we cannot pray for others if we don't understand them, and you come to find you cannot help anybody until you pray first. But having a spiritual experience does not guarantee a love story or a relationship. There are many true-life stories about prayer that turned out to be much more than a second glance at a relationship.
Keep putting that seed into the ground, as Christ tells us He has that word for you. He doesn't need you to be perfect, He just needs you. Abound in the Lord's work, and the Devil will not have an opportunity to steal from you, because you will be a beacon of hope, faith, and love. Be unyielding in your resolve to live by the Lord.
In you go through this next part praying a million thanks, let the un near you, let narcissism, anger, and jealousy go away. Let the Lord's wisdom fill your heart. You may still feel that the bitterness you experience is pulling you away from God. But rest assured that God will have your back. He will never forsake you or forget you. You are His child and God will always be at your side. God will bring you peace and comfort, and He will always have a plan for your life.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up our sister who is struggling with bitterness towards her mother. We thank You for Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us, and we claim that promise for her today. We rebuke and cast away any sin or influence that causes bitterness in her life. Help her to forgive her mother, just as You forgive us of our sins.
Fill her heart with Your love and peace, Lord, and guide her steps as she navigates this difficult journey. Give her strength to set aside pride and to continually respond with kindness.
We ask for the Holy Spirit to guide her mother as well. May the Holy Spirit give her direction, and give those around her wisdom in sharing the message of Jesus. May this woman, and all women like her, be a beacon to the world of the power of salvation through Jesus Christ.
And lastly, we pray that our sister will be a beacon of hope, faith, and love to those around her. May she serve others and worship You in all that she goes through.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
