We are truly sorry to hear about the recent kidnapping and the physical harm you have endured. We join you in prayer, asking God for a hedge of protection around you, and ask God to grant you safe travels and provision for all the services you need to keep you safe.
Let us say, "O Lord, in your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you." God is indeed omnipresent. Psalm 139:7-10 reminds us, "Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me." Therefore, we are in God's presence even in the darkest places.
We pray for your healing, both physically and emotionally. "He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds." We ask God that the doctors and medical staff attending to you be convicted by the Holy Spirit to provide ethical and compassionate medical care. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, even as your soul prospers."
We commend you for surrendering your prayer to God and acknowledging His will. "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It is so important that we seek God's will and not our own.
We also commend you for praying in Jesus Christ's name. The only way we may approach God is through the name of Jesus Christ. If we "ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is "in Christ that we have boldness and confident access to God through faith in him." Outside of Christ, there is no other means by which we may be saved. The basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ includes, "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Let us pray together.
Father God, we come before You, lifting up Your child who has been through a traumatic experience. We pray for a hedge of protection around them, for safe travels, and for all the services needed to keep them safe. Lord, we ask that You guide the hands of the medical professionals, that they may provide ethical and compassionate care. We pray for healing, both physical and emotional, and we ask that Your will be done in this situation. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you not to have fear or anxiety. Some people may want to retaliate or get revenge, but we do not live as the world does. 1 Peter 3:9, "Not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead blessing; knowing that to this were you called, that you may inherit a blessing." Let us always be looking for ways to inherit blessings.
