We understand that you're feeling anxious and desire confidence and success at work, as well as a harmonious workplace environment. We stand in agreement with you in prayer. First let us address the biblical perspective on worry. First, You are not alone in feeling anxious. Even when anxiety overwhelms, remember the Apostle Paul's words: "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus," Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB).
When working, we are called to do our best, working as unto the Lord. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ," Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB).
Further, let us address the workplace environment. As believers we are commanded to "Let all things be done with love," 1 Corinthians 16:14. In the workplace, this translates to respect and kindness towards colleagues. This is great to see you desire this, but remember that it is not something that God will necessarily make people do but rather something that you need to do to treat others how you want to be treated. "Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets," Matthew 7:12 (WEB).
Let us pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is feeling anxious. We pray that You will replace anxiety with Your peace. We ask for confidence, knowing that their identity is secure in Christ. We pray for success at work. May they serve as a light, reflecting Your glory in all they do. We pray for a harmonious workplace environment, where respect and kindness are evident. We pray for opportunities to demonstrate Your love. Guide us all to exhibit love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, the fruits of Your Spirit.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
