Let us come together in prayer for this family, remembering that Jesus said, "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." (Matthew 18:19-20 WEB).
First, we acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. “And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!” (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is important to always pray in Jesus' name, as this is the way God has provided for us to come to Him.
Now, let us pray for this family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family to You. We pray for their goodness, love, peace, health, happiness, and comfort. We ask that You pour out Your blessings upon them and fill their hearts with Your joy.
Father, we pray for the husband and wife, that they may love each other as You have loved us. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... Let each one of you so love his own wife even as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband." (Ephesians 5:25, 33 WEB) Let their marriage be a beacon of Your love and grace, and let their children grow in the knowledge and wisdom of the Lord.
We pray for their children, that they may be obedient and respectful to their parents as it is commanded in Your Word. "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise" (Ephesians 6:1-2 WEB).
We also pray for the health of the family, both physically and spiritually. As it says in 3 John 1:2 WEB: "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."
Father, we ask for all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we pray, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your will. Amen.
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
