Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us unite in prayer for this beloved sister and her family. We stand on the promises of God, who tells us, Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened, WEB Matthew 7:7-8. Our God is a loving and merciful Father who cares for us and our families. We can approach Him with confidence in the name of Jesus and also the power of the Holy Spirit, which was given to us when we became a child of God.
First, we lift up the husband and wife. We pray for their marriage, that it would be strengthened and blessed by God. May their love for each other reflect the love that Christ has for His church. Let us always remember that the husband is to love his wife even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for her Ephesians 5:25 WEB. Also, a wife needs to love her husband and honor him also. We also need to remember that marriage is an earthly demonstration of the spiritual relationship between God and His people. May God's presence be ever-present in their marriage, guiding them in love, joy, and happiness. We also pray for their health, that God would protect them from all sickness and disease. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed, according to Isaiah 53:5 WEB: But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.
Next, we lift up the children. We pray that they would grow in the knowledge and love of God. May they be surrounded by God's presence, help, comfort, and mercy all the days of their lives. We pray that they would be taught God's ways and that they would walk in His truth. We declare that they are the heritage of the Lord, even the fruit of the womb. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them, WEB Psalms 127:3-5.
Lastly, we pray for the entire family's freedom from any bondage, whether spiritual, emotional, or physical. May they be free to serve God and live out His purposes for their lives. We declare that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty 2 Corinthians 3:17 WEB.
Finally, we pray that God would supply all their needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 WEB. May they never lack any good thing, but may they always trust in God to provide for all their needs.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this family to You, asking for Your blessing, protection, and provision over them. Strengthen their marriage, guide their children, and grant them freedom from all bondage. Supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage this family to continue to seek God's will for their lives and to trust in Him in all circumstances. May they always be quick to forgive, slow to anger, and abounding in love. May they always put their hope in God, who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalms 46:1 WEB.
We also want to remind them that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. This was explained in Acts 4:12 when Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit he said, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, whereby we must be saved. So when saying prayers, it is important to do this in Jesus' name.
