We understand that you're going through a challenging time with your girlfriend and that you both are seeking reconciliation. However, we want to remind you of what God's Word says about relationships and reconciliation. We also noticed you did not capitalize any of the pronouns referring to God. Also, you are not married to your girlfriend and you should be considering marriage if you are seriously considering a relationship with her. If she is not a Christian believer, then you should not be courting her at all. God's Word says in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness" If she is not a believer, you need to stop your relationship with her.
Firstly, let's consider what God says about anxiety in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." We pray that both of you would trust God deeply and you need to trust Him with your future and your worries.
Regarding conflict and anger, Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB says, "Be angry, and don't sin.' Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." It's important to handle anger in a godly way, not allowing it to lead to sin or to give the devil a foothold in your lives.
However, we want to remind you that reconciliation should only occur if it aligns with God's will and if both parties are willing to forgive and change. Colossians 3:13 WEB says, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." True reconciliation involves forgiveness and a willingness to move forward in a godly manner.
Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your will for this relationship, for this man, and his girlfriend. We pray that You would ease her anxiety and replace it with Your perfect peace. We ask that You would help them handle any anger or conflict in a godly way, following the example of Jesus, our savior.
We pray that You would give them wisdom and discernment as they consider reconciliation. Help them to seek Your will above all else and to be obedient to Your Word. Help them to forgive each other, to forbear each other, to love with pure hearts. If this relationship is not in your will, then we pray that you will give them the grace and the strength to move on and not be held down with needless burdens. We pray for your will to be done on earth as it is done in heaven.
Father God, we also pray for this man, that You would guide him in all truth and help him to walk in Your ways. Help him to be the godly leader You've called him to be, especially as a boyfriend and potentially a husband. Help him to place Your will above all else. We pray for his girlfriend, that You would also reveal Yourself to her and draw her closer to You.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior, and Lord. Amen."
