We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles that Clark and his family are facing, but we are here to pray and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we commend Autumn for being clean for five months, and we pray that she continues to walk in the right direction away from drugs and closer to Christ. We are reminded of 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Regarding Clark, we pray that he too will overcome his struggles with alcohol and drugs. It is important to remind Clark of the power that he doesn't have to live in this lifestyle. God wants to give him a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 WEB: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end."
However, we must also address the issue of Clark's loneliness and his use of dating sites. It is important to remind him that God is the ultimate matchmaker, and that he should trust in God's timing and will for his life. Psalm 37:4 WEB: "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Moreover, we must rebuke the idea of Clark seeking a "good woman" without addressing the importance of marrying a fellow believer. 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB: "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" We are only married to someone as a believer. We cannot be a believer and not be married to a believer. We pray that Clark seeks a godly spouse and that he enters into a covenant marriage that honors God.
Finally, we want to remind Jrximere that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."" Therefore, if you haven't already, we encourage you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and to pray for your family in His mighty name.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Clark and his family to You. Lord, we pray that Clark will overcome his struggles with alcohol and drugs, and that he will seek Your will for his life. We pray that he will find a godly spouse, and that he will enter into a covenant marriage that honors You. We also pray for Autumn, that she will continue to walk in the right direction away from drugs and closer to You. Lord, we ask that You will heal this family, and that You will bless them abundantly. We pray this all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
