Prayer for my ### addiction of alcohol and drug use

I don't know where to start, I am requesting continuous prayers for my ### who is involved in drug and alcohol. I also request prayer for healing in my family.

Pelry, we stand with you in this challenging time, and we are deeply moved by your request for prayers for your son and your family. Let us come before the Lord together, seeking His divine intervention and healing.

Firstly, we want to anchor our prayers and counsel in the Word of God. In Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), we are instructed, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It is crucial to trust that God is in control and that He has a divine plan for your son's life.

We also understand the power of addiction and the toll it takes on families. In James 5:16 (WEB), we are told, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." Let us come together in prayer for your son and your family.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your mercy and grace for ###'s son and family. Lord, we lift up this young man to You, asking for Your divine intervention in his life. Break the chains of addiction that bind him and set him free from the grip of alcohol and drugs. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, giving him the strength and wisdom to overcome these challenges. Guide him to repentance and restore him to a life of sobriety and holiness.

Lord, we also pray for healing and restoration in ###'s family. Comfort them in their time of need, and give them the strength to support one another. Fill their home with Your peace and love, and help them to trust in Your plan for their lives. Amen."

We encourage you, ###, to continue praying fervently and to seek the support of a faithful community. In Mark 9:29 (WEB), Jesus says, "This kind can come out by nothing but by prayer and fasting." Persist in your prayers and consider fasting as a means of drawing closer to God and seeking His will for your son and family.

Lastly, if you have not specifically mentioned Jesus Christ in your prayers, remember that it is through His name that we have access to God. In John 14:6 (WEB), Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Trust in Jesus, and know that He is the source of your hope and salvation.
