We are so glad you have reached out for prayer and support. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can find true help and salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Firstly, we want to address the issue of addiction. We know that this can be a powerful stronghold, but we serve a God who can break every chain. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." We pray that you and your family would be made new in Christ, freed from the bondage of alcohol addiction.
Let us pray together:
Dear Jesus Christ,
We come before You, lifting up this family who is struggling with alcohol addiction. We pray that You would set them free, Lord. Break the chains of addiction and give them strength and courage to walk in newness of life. Guide them to support systems and resources that can help them overcome this struggle. Surround them with Your love and peace, and help them to turn to You in their times of weakness.
We also pray for their son. Lord, we ask that You would guide him in his life. If he is not yet married, we pray that You would bring a godly wife into his life, not just a girlfriend or partner. Someone who loves You and seeks to serve You. We pray that You would open up job opportunities for him that align with Your will for his life. Give him wisdom and discernment as he seeks Your path for his future. We also pray that his son knows Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. If not, then we pray for his salvation.
Lord, we also pray for this family's finances. Help them to manage their money wisely and provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory. May they seek to honor You with their resources.
In all things, Lord, we pray that this family would draw closer to You, seeking Your will for their lives. May they come to know the fullness of Your love and grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's face. Remember the promise in Matthew 7:7-8 WEB, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." Keep asking, seeking, and knocking, knowing that God hears your prayers.
If there is any sexual immorality connected to the drinking please address that also as a sin that Jesus Christ died for and that needs to be confessed and forsaken.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to be in fellowship with other believers. As it is written in Hebrews 10:25 WEB, "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." Being part of a local church community can provide support, encouragement, and accountability as you journey towards freedom and wholeness.
