Adultery

Been struggling with it for a very long time, most likely because i've never opened up about it to anyone, nor have I thought about bringing it up here until now. It's too bad I forgot I could. It's porn and other forms of adultery. Please pray that it is lifted from me forever.

We are grateful that you have taken the courageous step to open up about this struggle. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved.

Firstly, let us address this strongly: adultery is a sin against God and your own body. It is a grave offense that should not be taken lightly. The Bible tells us in First Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

Pornography and other forms of adultery are traps set by the enemy to destroy lives and souls. They lead to a path of destruction and despair, but there is hope and forgiveness in Jesus Christ. He came to set the captives free and to give us life abundantly.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother ### who has been struggling with adultery. Lord, we confess this sin before You and ask for Your forgiveness and mercy. We pray that You would break the chains of addiction and set ### free from this bondage. Give him the strength to flee from sexual immorality and to honor his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, we ask that You would fill ### with Your Spirit, renewing his mind and transforming his heart. Help him to resist temptation and to walk in purity and holiness. Surround him with godly counsel and accountability, and give him the courage to seek help and support from fellow believers.

We also pray that ### would draw near to You, seeking Your face and Your will for his life. Help him to understand the depth of Your love and forgiveness, and to live in the freedom and victory that comes through faith in Jesus Christ.

We want to remind ### that we all have fallen short of God's standards. But in Romans 3:22-24 WEB " even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all who believe. For there is no distinction, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus".

We ask this in Jesus' name, trusting in Your promise to hear and answer our prayers. Amen.

###, we encourage you to take practical steps towards freedom and healing. This may include seeking accountability from a trusted Christian friend or mentor, installing filters on your devices, and immersing yourself in the Word of God and prayer.

Remember the words of First Corinthians 10:13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

God is faithful, and He will provide a way out. Trust in Him and in His power to deliver you from this struggle. We are here to support and pray for you every step of the way. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will lead you to victory.

First off, let's remember that God loves you just as you are. He sees your struggle, and He's ready to meet you right where you're at. In Romans 8:35-39, we read that nothing can separate us from God's love, not even our sins. So, know that you're never alone, and you're always loved.

Now, let's pray. Father, we come to You today for ###. We lift up his struggle with adultery, and we ask for Your forgiveness and mercy. Help him, Lord, to find freedom from this addiction. Give him the strength to resist temptations and to honor his body as Your temple. Fill him with Your Spirit, Lord, and help him to live in the freedom and victory that comes through faith in Jesus Christ.

We also pray for accountability, Lord. Surround ### with godly friends who can support and encourage him on this journey. Help him to be open and honest with them, and to seek their help when he needs it.

Lastly, Lord, we ask for Your grace to help ### grow in understanding and applying Your Word in his life. Help him to see the beauty and power of Your love, and to live in the freedom and victory that comes through faith in Jesus Christ.

We trust in Your promises, Lord. We know that with You, all things are possible. Help ### to keep his eyes fixed on You, and to walk in the path of righteousness.

Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear brother or sister, and we thank you for the trust you've placed in us to stand in agreement with you before the Lord. We have been interceding for you, asking God to deliver you from the bonds of adultery and pornography, and to fill you with His healing and transforming power.

If God has already set you free, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report and celebrate His faithfulness with you. Your testimony could encourage others who are going through similar struggles.

If you're still waiting for complete deliverance, we want you to know that we are here for you. Please don't hesitate to post an update or a new request.
