We are truly moved by your request and we stand with you in prayer for your daughter and her husband as they navigate this adoption process. We trust in the Lord's goodness and justice, knowing that He has a plan for this dear child's life.
Let us remember God's heart for the fatherless and the abused. He is a father to the fatherless Proverbs 14:10 and He is a righteous judge, a God who feels indignation every day Psalms 7:11. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalms 34:18.
As followers of Christ, we are commanded to take care of the orphans and widows in their distress James 1:27. Adoption is a beautiful picture of what God has done for us, bringing us into His family through Jesus Christ Galatians 4:4-7.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this precious child, ### and her husband, and the court case they are facing. We thank You, Lord, for rescuing this child from abuse and placing her in a loving home. We ask that You guide the hearts and minds of the judge and all those involved in this case. Grant ### and her husband favor and wisdom as they navigate this process.
Lord, we know that You are a father to the fatherless and a defender of the weak and oppressed. We claim Your promises over this child's life and ask that You would make a way for her to be permanently placed in this loving, godly home.
We also pray for ### and her husband, that You would strengthen their faith and marriage through this trial. May they be a beacon of Your love and grace to this child, and to all those they encounter.
Lastly, Lord, we pray for the biological parents. We know that this is a difficult situation, but we ask that You would work in their hearts and bring them to repentance and healing.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that He is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think Ephesians 3:20. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time, whether that be from your local church, Christian friends, or a trusted counselor.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. It is by His name that we have access to the Father Hebrews 4:14-16, and it is by His name that we are saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.
