Addiction and Recovery

I am desperate need of prayers for God's intervention for my fiancé, ###. He is an alcoholic. He's not going to live much longer if things don't change. Please pray for him that he is able to overcome this horrible addiction and live the life that God intended for him. I am sick with worry. Please pray for us. Thank you, dear friends.

We deeply empathize with your struggle, ###, and we stand with you in praying for ###'s deliverance from alcohol addiction. Let us align our hearts with God's will and pray together.

Firstly, we must acknowledge that healing and restoration come from God alone, and it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach Him. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved."

Let us pray for ###, that God will intervene and set him free from this addiction. In John 8:36 (WEB), Jesus says, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." We pray that ### will turn to Jesus, for He is the only one who can break the chains of addiction and bring true freedom.

We also pray for your strength and peace, ###. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). God knows your heart and the burden you carry. Trust that He is faithful and will work all things together for good (Romans 8:28, WEB).

However, we must also address the concern that you refer to ### as your fiancé. In the Bible, we see that God's design for relationships is clear—a man and a woman united in holy matrimony. We encourage you to pray and seek God's will for your relationship, ensuring that it aligns with His principles. As you walk together in faith, God will guide your path and grant you wisdom.

Lastly, we pray that ### will not only be freed from addiction but also draw closer to God and become the man God intended him to be. We ask that God will surround both of you with His love, protection, and guidance.
