We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles of your ###. We see addictions and criminal behavior discussed in Galatians 5:19-21. Being a career criminal is not an acceptable lifestyle to God.
Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Being addicted to anything is not God's desire for our lives. God wants to help us through these challenges, but we need to come to him.
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
The first step is to confess and repent. Turn from this lifestyle and ask God to help change your life.
For godly sorrow, which is according to God, produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted, but the sorrow of the world works death.
Believing in Jesus Christ is the only way to receive salvation and eternal life. It is through faith, confessing, and believing in Jesus Christ we can receive this. If you have never done that before, we encourage you to do so.
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.
We pray that your ### will come to repent and believe in Jesus Christ. We pray that the stronghold of addiction will be broken. We pray that he will come to know Jesus Christ as his savior and be free from the bondage of his past.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come to You today, lifting up the ### of the one who submitted this request. We pray that he will come to know You as his personal Savior. We pray that You will deliver him from his addictions and criminal behavior. We pray that You will give him the strength and courage to turn from his past and to follow You. We pray that You will open doors for him to find gainful employment and to become a productive member of society. We pray that You will heal his brokenness and restore him to a right relationship with You. We pray all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to support your ### and to pray for him fervently. It is never too late for anyone to turn to God and seek His forgiveness. God is always ready to welcome us with open arms, no matter how far we have strayed. Trust in God's unfailing love and mercy, and continue to intercede for your ###.
