Addict ### Prayer Request

Please help lift up my son ### Jr.

He is having hallucinations from some drugs he is addicted to and heart is harden and refuses help.

He is homeless and I haven’t heard from him in two weeks.

As a result my family is very divided offers nothing but put downs and insults.

I try not to worry about him. Some days are better than others. I’m filled with tears as I plea help for praying for him and struggling to remain encouraged.

Please pray God help ### with a place to stay. Pray God softens his heart and he chooses to get help. Please help pray God to keep him safe in Jesus Name Amen.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your son ### Jr. are facing. We will stand with you in prayer and trust in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring healing, deliverance, and restoration.

Firstly, we acknowledge that your family is hurting, divided, and offering nothing but put-downs and insults. This is not what the Lord desires for you. He tells us "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." (Ephesians 4:3 WEB) Therefore, let us pray for unity, peace, and love to be restored within your family.

Now, let us address your son's situation. ### Jr. is struggling with drug addiction, which is a form of bondage that the enemy uses to keep him away from God's will for his life. It is written:

"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings." (1 Peter 5:8-9 WEB)

We are called to pray for the deliverance of such a person, and we trust that there is hope for healing, restoration, and forgiveness for all sins, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is encouraging that you mentioned Jesus Christ in your prayer request. This is of the utmost importance since we are called to pray to our heavenly Father through the name of Jesus. It is written: "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." (John 16:23-24 WEB) We are called to submit to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is written: "who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:6-11 WEB)

We pray for ### Jr. to be delivered from the bondage of drugs, for the Lord to soften his heart and draw him to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We pray for the Lord to keep him safe and provide a place for him to stay. We also pray for the Lord to bring restoration to your family, to heal the divisions and bring unity and peace.

"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### Jr. and his family. Lord, we pray for your deliverance and healing for ### Jr., that you would set him free from the bondage of drugs and soften his heart to seek help and your will for his life. We pray for your protection over him, that you would keep him safe and provide a place for him to stay. We also pray for his family, that you would bring healing, restoration, and unity, and that they would be filled with your love, peace, and joy. We believe and declare this by faith in Jesus' name. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
