Abusive marriage

Hi sisters and brothers. I would like your prayers please. My ### is controlling and abusive in every way except physically. I feel double minded whether I should stay or if God is calling me to leave this marriage. My ### refuses to acknowledge or repent for his actions. I resigned from my job, ### years ago at his request and now I am financially dependent on him.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today on behalf of our dear sister who is in need of your guidance and strength. Lord, you know the struggles she is facing in her marriage. We lift up her husband to you, asking for a transformation of his heart and a conviction to acknowledge and repent for his controlling and abusive behavior. We pray that you would open his eyes to the pain he is causing and soften his heart to seek reconciliation and change.

Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment for our sister as she navigates this difficult situation. Help her to discern whether it is your will for her to stay in this marriage or if you are calling her to leave. Give her clarity and peace in making this decision, knowing that you are with her every step of the way.

Lord, we also lift up the financial dependency our sister has on her husband. We pray that you would provide for her needs and open doors of opportunity for her to regain her financial independence. Help her to find employment or any other means of support that will enable her to stand on her own.

In the midst of this challenging time, we pray for your comfort and strength to surround our sister. Remind her of your unfailing love and faithfulness. Give her the courage to seek help and support from trusted individuals, whether it be friends, family, or professionals who can provide guidance and assistance.

We claim the promise in 1 John 5:14-15 that if we ask anything according to your will, you hear us. We trust in your perfect plan and timing, knowing that you are working all things together for our sister's good.
