We are so grateful that you have come seeking forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we are saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who seeks Your forgiveness. Lord, You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. You do not keep Your anger forever, nor do You nurse Your wrath, for You take no pleasure in punishing sinners (Psalm 103:8-10, Psalm 5:4 WEB).
We confess that we have all sinned and fallen short of Your glory (Romans 3:23 WEB). But thanks be to You, Lord, for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. Through His sacrifice, we have redemption, the forgiveness of our sins (Ephesians 1:7 WEB).
Father, we ask that You pour out Your forgiveness and mercy upon this person. Wash away their sins, and make them whiter than snow (Psalm 51:7 WEB). Give them the power to walk in newness of life, turning away from sin and towards righteousness (Romans 6:4 WEB).
We also pray that this person will continue to grow in their faith, becoming more like Christ each day. May they be transformed by the renewing of their mind, so that they may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:2 WEB).
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God forgives those who truly repent and turn to Him. As you continue your walk with Christ, strive to live a life that honors God and reflects His love to others. If you have any other concerns or need further guidance, do not hesitate to seek counsel in the Word of God and from fellow believers.
