We understand that you are seeking forgiveness and deliverance from evil music. We commend you for recognizing the influence of music in your life and for turning to God for help. It is important to fill our minds and hearts with things that honor God, as Philippians 4:8 reminds us, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." We are proud of you for desiring to have your Christian faith reflected in your choice of music.

Evil music can have harmful effects on our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It can promote messages that are contrary to God's word and His will for our lives. As Ephesians 5:18-19 teaches, "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord." We should seek to be filled with the Spirit and to engage with music that draws us closer to God.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who has requested forgiveness and deliverance from evil music. Lord, we ask that You forgive any sins committed while listening to such music, and that You cleanse their heart and mind from its influence.

Guide them to music that honors and glorifies You, music that builds up their faith and draws them closer to You. Give them a discerning spirit to recognize the messages in music and to choose wisely according to Your will.

Strengthen their faith and help them to walk in Your ways, obeying Your commandments and living a life that is pleasing to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and help them to be a light and testimony to others through their words, actions, and even their choice of music.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
