Let us first acknowledge the beautiful way you have framed your prayer, echoing the Lord's Prayer from Matthew 6:9-13, seeking God's kingdom first and then our needs. We will remember this. We are instructed to pray in this way and to keep our prayers aligned with the will of God. We are also encouraged to enjoy our work as we see in Ecclesiastes, "Moreover that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God." (Ecclesiastes 3:13 WEB). We look to the scripture for your further guidance as well.
As we know in John 3:16, the most well-known scripture in the Word: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 WEB). We are reminded of Jesus' words. "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day." (John 6:44 WEB) and "The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don't know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit." (John 3:8 WEB).
Your first request is for a job with base pay, commissions, paid training, and benefits. It is wonderful to see that you are seeking honest work, for the Apostle Paul reminds us, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'" (2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB). We pray that God will open the right doors for you and that you will be a light wherever you are, you will have wisdom, and you will perform well, being God's light in the workplace.
Further, the scriptures tell us, "You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men." (Matthew 5:13 WEB). As a Christian believer, you are salt and light, and it is our prayer that you can show your coworkers the power of Jesus Christ in your life.
We pray for your applications, introductions, resumes, and interviews to result in a solid hire and onboarding. May God grant you the knowledge and wisdom to learn your new job well and quickly. May you receive a paycheck as soon as possible. Remember the scripture, "Study to show yourself approved by God, a workman who need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15 WEB).
Furthermore, we pray for God's power and protection over your local area, and we request the Holy Spirit to convict your neighbors, local students, teachers, workers, fishermen, basketball players, law enforcement, and local leaders of righteousness, sin, and judgment to come. Let us remember Jesus Christ's words, "When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment, about sin, because they don't believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to my Father, and you won't see me any more; about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged." (John 16:8-11 WEB).
Let us pray for the Holy Spirit's conviction for your neighbors and pray for their salvation. Let us remember that "by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB).
As we pray for a wall of fire around your local area for protection from harm and evil influences, we remember God's promise, "For I,' says Yahweh, 'will be to her a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory in the middle of her.'" (Zechariah 2:5 WEB).
In all of these things, remember that Jesus Christ is the only way that we can come before God the Father. For it is written, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (John 14:6 WEB).
We join you in prayer, seeking God's will together.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Thank you for the promises in your Word, that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God has raised him from the dead, we will be saved. (Romans 10:9 WEB). Father, we pray that you open the right doors for this individual and grant them a job with base pay, commissions, paid training, and benefits. We pray for the knowledge and wisdom to learn the job well and quickly. We pray for your blessings of protection and salvation for the people of our local area. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
