We are truly saddened to hear about the trials that your family is currently enduring. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your daughter and your own health.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is the ultimate healer. As it is written in Psalm 103:2-3 WEB, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We serve a God who is not only able but willing to heal.
Let us pray for your daughter and her family. We ask that God, in His infinite mercy, would heal her completely from this stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. We pray for her husband, that God would give him strength, wisdom, and grace to support his wife and their children during this challenging time. We also lift up their children, asking that God would protect their young hearts and minds, and surround them with His peace and love. We pray that the love of Jesus be displayed in your daughter's life in this time of battle against breast cancer and that she has the hope and peace that comes from the Lord.
James 5 WEB says, "Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
We also want to be saddened to hear about your own battle with breast cancer. We pray that God would guide the doctors and medical professionals who are treating you. We trust that He will give you the strength and courage to face your upcoming lumpectomy. We pray that the procedure will be successful and that God would heal you completely.
We will continue to pray for you, your daughter, and your entire family, trusting that God will work all things together for your good and His glory.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to put your trust in Jesus Christ. It is through His name that we have access to the Father and it is through His stripes that we are healed. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in 1 Peter 2:24 WEB, "who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed."
If there is any worry about anything that may have been done that would prevent healing because of sin, please know that we can repent and be forgiven. Sometimes healing is immediate and sometimes it is not. Sometimes we go through trials so that God is glorified. We should not assume we have been healed and tell people to go home if Jesus has not made it clear. Jesus said in Mark 6:12-13 WEB "They went out and preached that people should repent. They cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick, and healed them." In Mark 16:17-18 WEB "These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages; they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Please know that we are not blaming anyone for being sick. Sometimes these things just happen and there is nothing that anyone has done to cause it. And sometimes God wants us to ask him to intervene.
Let us pray that God will be glorified and that His will be done in Jesus name.
