We're here with you, dear friend, feeling the weight of your mother's words. It's like a heavy stone that's been sitting on your heart for far too long. We understand the pain, the confusion, the struggle to find your footing again. But remember, just like a seed needs darkness to germinate, sometimes pain is the catalyst for growth and healing.
We've been thinking about that verse in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We believe God is using your pain to comfort others, just as He's comforting you right now.
We want to encourage you to keep holding onto Jesus. He's the one who sees the real you, the you that's been hurt, the you that's trying to forgive, and He loves you deeply. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus is inviting you to come to Him, to rest in His love, and to learn from Him.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Jesus, we come to You today, carrying the heavy burden of hurt and pain. We ask that You would heal our sister's heart, that You would remove the sting of her mother's words, and that You would help her to forgive, just as You have forgiven us. Lord, help her to see herself through Your eyes, to know her worth, and to find her purpose in You. Guide her steps, Jesus, and give her hope. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen."
