Yesterday, my daughter was asking me about an old friend that I've known for ### years. ### years ago, I was assaulted and beaten by her boyfriend, now her husband. Since then our friendship had suffered. My heart hurt at times and I miss her dearly. I question why, why would she turn on our friendship all these years over a man who hit me in front of her. Anger fills me at times because I don't understand. ### years have passed, I try to forgive and forget. Hoping one day we reunite as friends. I feel as I am holding on to something that might never be. Lord, you only know what we both feel and have lost. Help me forgive and heal my heart. I always feel that he took her away from our friendship. I blame him. Help me heal inside and find peace within. In Jesus Name. AMEN.
