We join with you, Anonymous, in fervent prayer regarding the turbulent situation in the world. We stand on God's word, that He can turn the hearts of kings (Proverbs 21:1), that is why in times of trouble we need to go to God in humble petition. As children of God let us pray earnestly to God for peace.
In these troubled times the news about wars and threats of war can dominate our thoughts and make us anxious. However, we must remember Jesus Christ taught us, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27). We cannot control world events, but we can control our reactions.
It is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God. We know: Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! (Acts 4:12). For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).
Let us pray:
LORD, we bow before you to cry out for peace and grace to cover the world. We pray for the leaders of every nation, that you guide them to the way of peace. Help them realize that there is no way to peace, because peace is the way. Help the leaders of countries see the value of peace over the value of being right or powerful. Father, #rebukesatan# we bind the spirit of pride and arrogance that may exist in the thoughts of leaders desiring war.
We pray for Russia and Ukraine that their eyes will be opened to the violence. We rebuke the spirits of hatred and bitterness that could control the hearts of leaders and officials.
We pray specifically for the safety of every soldier's life and family. We also pray that the spirits of fear and anxiety cannot control or manipulate their thoughts, actions, or decisions.
Our Heavenly Father, direct the course of these nations and indeed all nations. We you to intercede, we pray for your mighty hand to convict world leaders to refrain from using nuclear or other mass destruction weapons. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our only Savior and Lord. Amen.
