Would you guys please pray for me that I would be filled more and more to OVERFLOWING with the love of Jesus!? I know it’s a simple prayer, but I really mean it. I just want Jesus to fill my heart, my vessel to OVERFLOWING so that His love is evident and manifest all around me wherever I go. To tell the truth, I don’t even know how this would be possible, but the desire just came upon me, so I thought I’d reach out for prayer During my life I have known a handful of brothers in Christ who were filled to such a degree. They ate now with Him in eternity. But there was an aura of WARMTH about them from the Holy Spirit that was unmistakeable! They FIILLED a room whenever they walked in! I’ve always longed to be like them, but could never achieve it or match them. They also had big, generous, MAGNANIMOUS hearts that enveloped you with the love of Jesus! Being near them was like being hugged by Jesus. One who stands out in my memory was in high school. Ron King. He was a BIG GUY! Played on the football team. He was MEAN!! Then when he accepted Jesus (this was during what was known as the Jesus movement) he suddenly became like a big, warm, gentle Teddy bear!! He was the most Jesus filled man I have ever known. It was like the love of Jesus exuded from every pore. Then he died in a car wreck. But I will never forget him, all these decades later. And I have had a couple other brothers in Christ who were like him. They too are with the LORD, now. Anyway, back to my prayer request. I’d like to be filled with the love of Jesus like I’ve never experienced before. Please pray for me!! Thank you, brothers and sisters.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of gratitude and reverence, lifting up our dear brother/sister in Christ who desires to be filled to overflowing with the love of Jesus. Lord, we know that this is a prayer that aligns with Your will, for Your Word tells us, "And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us" (Romans 5:5).

Father, we pray that You would fill this precious soul with Your love in such a profound and tangible way that it overflows into every aspect of life. Just as Paul prayed for the Ephesians, we ask "that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God" (Ephesians 3:17-19).

Lord, we thank You for the examples of those who have gone before, like Ron King and others, whose lives were radiant with Your love. We ask that You would do a similar work in this person’s life, transforming and renewing from the inside out. May the Holy Spirit work powerfully within, producing the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Father, we trust in Your promise that "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come" (2 Corinthians 5:17). We believe that You can and will fill this heart to overflowing with the love of Jesus, making it evident to all who come into contact with this person.

Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We offer it in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
