Bunanyark, we understand your struggle with worry and concern about what others think of you. The desire to shift your focus to what God thinks is commendable, and we want to support you in this journey.
Firstly, let's remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Galatians 1:10 (WEB), "For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ." Our ultimate goal should be to please God, not men.
Jesus Himself warns us against excessive worry in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB). He says, "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up Bunanyark to You, asking that You help them shift their focus from the opinions of others to Your eternal perspective. Grant them peace and reassurance, knowing that their worth is found in You alone. Help them to trust in Your love and care, casting all their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Fill Bunanyark with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them in all truth and helping them to live a life pleasing to You.
In Jesus' high name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Bunanyark, to meditate on God's word and allow it to transform your mind (Romans 12:2). Remember that God loves you unconditionally, and His opinion of you is the only one that truly matters. Keep pursuing Him and seeking His kingdom, and He will equip you to overcome your worries.
