We understand that you have a lot on your mind, Chipper12, and we want to help you sort through all these scriptural and spiritual things and offer a prayer for healing as well as clear thought and discernment.
Firstly, let's address the anxiety and worry you're experiencing. God tells us in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
What is lovely about this is it probides a better than common process for addressing anxiety and worry. You probably know that God does not want us to worry; rather, He wants us to cast our worries on Him. Then in return for our petitions with thanks, He keeps our hearts and thoughts safely in Him. Worry and anxiety can often stem from a lack of trust in God. Our humanity has us focused on temporary worldy and earthly goals rather than using the money or resources to further the gospel. We trust God as the source of healing and all things injesus' name.
Regarding your spouse, it's important to remember that marriage is a sacred bond where both husbands and wives are to submit to one another in love without jelousy or worry. 1 Corinthians 7:3-5 WEB orders that the husband and wife are not to deprive each other except by mutual consent for a limited time not being trapped to separate to avoid temptation. Lets keep your spouse in prayer to trust you more and allow to see friends that encourage Godliness and holiness. Let us pray for encouragement if needed in scripture. Encourage them to also participate fully by allowing you to spend some time out with Godly lady friends.
It's a positive sign that your spouse wants to be with you, But you should work on this together in order to establish healthy boundaries and mutual respect building trust along the way. We must in Christ understand that sometimes worry can be from fearing others drop below atheistic needs that God is responsible for providing our human needs.Doing things separately can allow focus as one and realizing when things go well you say thank you Jesus, and when bad try saying Jesus help. We proclaim in Matthew 6:31-34 WEB:
"Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
As we see the most engaging command is to seek first the righteousness of Jesus Christ in everything. It is Jesus who will ease our human and temporary concerns, and it is Jesus who will provide our needs. Lead both you, your spouse, and your friends toward the eternal, so much so that one might realize heavenly goals for earthly ones.
Concerning your blood tests, we pray that the results will be clear with appropriate follow up actions. God's power is made perfect in our weakness, then you place ultimate results in Jesus' hand weak or strong. We also pray for your peace and for directing your heart and mind toward the Lord Jesus during this time of waiting and uncertainty.
Colossians 3:15 WEB: "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful."
Your concern about finding Christian empty nester friends and couples are clear. The glory of Jesus is typically shown through His followers, so let's pray for you to find a Christian community where these can be fostered.
2 Thessalonians2:16-17 WEB: "Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word."
Concerning the expectations of your spouse neither of you are bound to each other but both of you are bound to Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 7:23 WEB: "You were bought with a price. Do not become (slaves) bondservants to men.
We pray for your bosses to recognize your efforts, that your work will be a testament to your faith and diligence. Taking you way out of focus for being tied to face and your heart for God to do better for your work.
Ephesians 6:5-7, WEB: "Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ; not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men;"
But ask your self is there a purpose in my work not for a paycheck, but to further the gospel of Jesus Christ or to encourage others in Jesus Christ?
We also hear your concern about how much your adult children will be able to visit for Christmas. It shows the treasure to which you place them high value on out of your heart. Remember that the ultimate goal should always be to strengthen family bonds in Christ. Children do not need to see falls, selfish needs or their materialistic success it is the righteousness that comes throught Christ Jesus we should let them see in us.
1 Timothy 2:1 provides them to pray for all men and even kings and all in authority with supplication, but verse 2 WEB:especially that we may live quiet and peaceful lives in all godliness and reverence. Like all parental concern it may not be productive to force the visiting, but allow the WEB: and ALL scriptures speak to them so much that they see you as Christ wise and desire to be in your persence. That this is God's will, for result for them to be saved and come to know Jesus Christ at deeper levels. Do you encourage them to do good works in Jesus name?
We pray,
Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up Chipper12 and their concerns. We ask for Your peace and reassurance in their life and healing of their body, They trust you for comfort of their heart from one end to the other. We pray for your will as Jesus Christ, so that their spouse may be rightly connected to You as their intimate Lord. That child visits many be allowed by Your indwelling grace in Jesus name. Jesus we pray that your good purposes prevail through Christ. Amen.
