Chipper12, let us first assure you that God cares about every detail of your life, and He wants you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Firstly, we notice that Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name), is missing from the prayer request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As scripture says in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved as scripture says in Acts 4:10-12 WEB be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. He is 'the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.' There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Concerning peace and worry, let us direct you to the words of Jesus: In John 14:27, Jesus said: Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. As Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB) states don’t be anxious for anything; but in everything by prayer and request, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Jesus Christ.
Let us pray that the peace of God will rule your heart and mind. Turn in the Bible to 2 Thessalonians 3:16 where it says Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all. Trust that God will guide your thoughts and calm your fears.
Concerning your children visiting this Christmas, remember that God can turn the hearts of your children towards you just like he did with the King in Ezra 6:22.
In regards to worry about your spouse, in Ephesians 4:29 it says Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. In Ephesians 4:31 it says Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. We should pray for them to seek Jesus as their savior for he is the only one that can change their heart from wanting to curse to controlling their tongue.
Pray for your children to desire to read their Bibles. Ask that the Holy Spirit opens their hearts and minds to understand God's Word. Turn to Psalms 119:18 and pray: Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your Torah. Consider also discussing with them in 2 Timothy 3:16,17 that Scripture says all Scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
It seems like you are also having a health examination for a lump on your thumb but remember In Mark 11:24 it says Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. Therefore, we will pray and believe that the lump will decrease.
Regarding your concerns about work in Colossians 3:23-24 it says as, whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
We will also pray that God grants your mother a long life and good sleep; we turn you to the words of Solomon as he says in Proverbs 10:27 the fear of Yahweh prolongs days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened. In regards to sleep, Psalm 4:8 says I will both lay me down and sleep in peace; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety. We also point you to Psalm 127:2 it is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his beloved.
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Chipper12. We pray that Your peace will fill their heart and mind. We ask that the anxiety and worries that they are facing are taken away from them and given to you. We trust in Your promise to provide us with rest. We ask this in the name of Jesus.
We pray that all things are done and said in their home and in their marriage that brings glory to your name. We come against the desire to swear, speak against or belittle others, and the desire to speak of evil things in Jesus name. You tell us that Life and death are in the power of the tongue, those who love it will eat its fruit as Proverb 18:21 says. We pray for repentance and remembrance of your words in Matthew 12:36-37 where it says I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.
In regards to the adult children, we pray that they will come home for Christmas. We pray that they will seek a relationship with you and truly understand the meaning of Christmas, the celebration of the birth of the savior to the world, if they do not already know you.
We come against the lump on their thumb. We pray that it is nothing harmful and will disappear in Jesus name. We pray for full healing and restoration in Jesus name.
We pray that the Lord will continue to be in the work that Chipper12 does, and that they might serve their bosses as though they are serving you. May God's will be done in all things.
