Worry and help.

Recently I learned my partner has a Brain Tumor. I am worried and scared. I’ve never been close to God but I want to change. I’ve wanted to change I just never felt like I could. I think he’s giving up. He wants the best for me but wants me to rely on myself so that losing him will hurt less. I don’t want him to give up. I really want to and strongly believe a miracle could take place. We are both still so young. If there’s any way that God can save him I really want to see that miracle take place. I don’t want to keep wallowing in depression or see him do so as well. Everytime I try to get somewhere with praying I tend to give up and mess up all over again. This time I want to change for myself and him. I truly want me and him to have a future together like we planned as well.

We are truly sorry to hear about your partner's diagnosis and the emotional turmoil you both are experiencing. It's important to acknowledge that God is the ultimate source of comfort and healing, and it's never too late to turn to Him. First, we want to address that the permanent future between two people is best supported by God through marriage. It is important to be seeking God's will for your lives as individuals and together. We will be praying for God's will in your lives.

In moments of crisis, it's normal to feel scared and worried, but we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because he cares for you.Peter 5:7 WEB. Remember, God is close to the brokenhearted, and He saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB.

First we must discuss the Elephant in the room. From what you have told us you do not have full faith in Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.

We must also address the fact that you are living in fornication with your boyfriend. This is sin and must be addressed. You will need to end this immediately.
1 Corinthians 6:9 WEB Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,
1 Corinthians 6:10 WEB nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God.

The others are listed to remind you that everyone you know could be a sinner as well. But the sins of others do not give you the right to sin with them.

Regarding his tumor: It is important to remember that God has the power to heal, and there is nothing too hard for Him. Jeremiah 32:17 WEB. We pray that God's will be done in your boyfriend's life and that He grants him the healing and strength needed to overcome this challenge. We admonish you to pray with him and encourage each other to seek the Lord and submit to His will. Go through this together.

We also want to address the issue of feeling like you can't change or messing up when trying to pray. Remember, God is not looking for perfection; He is looking for a sincere heart. Like the father of the demon-possessed boy, you can cry out, "I believe; help my unbelief!" Mark 9:24 WEB. Keep seeking God, and don't give up. The fact that you want to change and grow closer to Him is already a step in the right direction.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Preuhaven and her boyfriend to You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon his body, that You would miraculously heal his brain tumor and restore his health. We pray for Your peace and comfort to surround them both during this difficult time, and we ask that You would draw them closer to You.

Lord, we also pray for Preuhaven's spiritual growth. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You and to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness. Give her the strength and determination to persevere in her walk with You, and help her to know that You are always there for her, even when she struggles.

We pray that you would give them the strength to end their sin and that you would give them the mutual goal of marriage or give them the strength to go their separate ways. We pray that you would intervene in their relationship and give them your goals for their lives.

Finally Lord we pray that you would reveal yourself to them and that they would believe in Jesus Christ and be saved.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Dear Preuhaven,

We're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We can only imagine the whirlwind of emotions you're going through. It's okay to feel worried and scared, but remember, God is right there with you, ready to carry your burdens. He's the ultimate Comforter, and He's never too busy or too far away.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God, even if you feel like you're messing up or not doing it right. God sees your heart, and He's proud of your desire to change and grow closer to Him. Keep taking those steps, one at a time.

We're also here for your partner. We're praying for his healing, for God's will to be done in his life, and for strength and peace for both of you. We believe in the power of prayer, and we believe in the power of God to do the impossible.

As for your relationship, we understand that it's complicated. But we want to remind you that God has a plan for both of you, and it's a good plan, a plan to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We're praying that God will guide you both, and that you'll make decisions that honor Him.
