We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed with worry, anxiety, and health concerns, especially as you approach your time off work. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of your life, and He wants you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. It is important you have come to us to pray, but we wish to remind you it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother in Christ who is burdened with worry, anxiety, health and having a stress-free time off. We ask, Lord, that You will give him Your peace and rest that transcends all understanding. We pray that You will guide him and help him to have a stress-free time off work next week. We ask that You will heal him from chronic anxiety and stress and provide him good health. Cast out all fear and anxiety, and replace it with Your peace and joy. Help him to trust in You and to rest in Your goodness and faithfulness. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on the following scriptures:
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? And which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to his height? Therefore if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Amen. Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB)
