We understand your concern as a mother, and we commend you for reaching out and asking for prayer. First, we want to remind you that worry can be a form of fear, and the Bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. As it says in 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB: "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
Let us pray together for your son ###.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### to You. Thank You, Lord, for bringing him this far in his journey to become a police officer. We ask, Father, that You would grant him confidence, wisdom, and strength as he faces this challenging week ahead. Guide his actions, Lord, and let Your wisdom be upon him as he performs his duties. Help him to score high enough to enter the next phase of his training. Lord, Your power is made perfect in our weakness, and we trust that You are working in ###'s life for Your good purpose.
Father, we also lift up ###'s mother to You. Please replace her worries with Your perfect peace. Help her to trust in You and to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her and ###. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As for your worry, remember the words of 1 Peter 5:7 WEB: "...casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Trust that God is in control and that He loves ### even more than you do.
Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He is the Son of God who died for our sins and was raised from the dead, and through Him, we can have eternal life.
