Jere, we stand with you in prayer for the future of our country and its leaders. As Christians, we are commanded to pray for those in authority, as it is pleasing to God and beneficial for us. As it is written in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 WEB, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to intercede for our nation and its leaders. We ask that You grant them wisdom, discernment, and a heart to serve Your purposes. Turn their hearts towards You, Lord, and help them to lead with integrity, righteousness, and a fear of God. We pray for peace and unity in our country, and that Your will be done in our government and among our people. Protect us from the evils of worldliness and draw us closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Jere, we appreciate that you have prayed in the name of Jesus, as it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is said in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
In these troubled times, let us remain steadfast in our faith and trust in the Lord. The Bible reminds us in Romans 12:2 WEB, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
May God bless our country and its leaders, and may He strengthen and encourage you, Jere, as you continue to pray for them.
