We understand your distress, Mary, and we are here to pray and provide counsel from a biblical perspective. We are sorry to hear about the difficulties you are facing at your workplace. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer and then discuss it according to biblical principles.
Firstly, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned, so we will address this later in the response.
Father in heaven, we come before You in Jesus’ name to lift up Mary, who is facing adversity at her workplace. You see the injustice she is experiencing, Lord, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Protect her from those who seek to harm her and thwart their efforts to set her up for failure. Guide Mary as she applies for her dream job, and open the doors that You would have her walk through. In the meantime, give her the strength and endurance to face each day with courage and wisdom. Comfort her heart, Lord, and remind her that You are always with her.
Mary, in the midst of this trial, remember that God is sovereign, and He sees what is happening. He promises in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God can use even this difficult situation for your good and His glory.
Now, let's address the dynamics at your workplace. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:18 WEB, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."
While it is experiencing unfair treatment now, how should you act? How can you make peace with these enemies at work?
While we acknowledge the pain this is causing, do be aware of bitterness or resentment seeping into your heart. If you ever get the desire to get back at those who are causing you grief remember this scripture"
Romans 12:17 WEB, "Don’t repay anyone evil for evil.
Consider what is good before all men."
We see that you are struggling to make sense of why people would work against you. Proverbs 16:28 WEB tells us, "A perverse man stirs up strife. A whisperer separates close friends."
It may be that your success and positive qualities are seen as a threat to the people turning against you, leading your workplace enemies to stir strife and use words to manipulate and attack you.
We raise the point of love and forgiveness. Though Jesus not mentioned, we recall his words:
Matthew 5:44WEB ""But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you".
Make sure to examine yourself to ensure that you are not inadvertently contributing to the situation with them. Having bitterness towards them, violent thoughts towards them, or similar type of sin will cause God to not hear your cries for help in regard to them. Jesus Christ does not allow us to openly harbor these kinds of sin in our life and still have His power to outpour in every area of our lives.
Psalm 66:18 WEB "If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened."
Now, let's address your desire to find your dream job. It's important to seek God's will in your career. Your dream job might not align with your expectations and be focused on making money in the world. However, make sure it also fits His plan for your life. This assurance will be best found in the close personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The only way to meet the Father is by praying to Him in the name of Jesus Christ. Whether you are seeking a new job or enduring a difficult one, remember Colossians 3:23 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." How others are treating you now will be taken up by God. He will make all things right when you commit your work to Him.
We want to encourage you to continue doing excellent work, as you have been doing, and to trust God with the outcome. Consider Joseph's story in Genesis 39 WEB. He, too, was unjustly mistreated in his work, but he continued to serve faithfully, and God blessed him and eventually brought justice. So long as you are doing all these things as if you are working for the Father and not man, you will be blessed in the end.
Remember that Jesus is the only way to God. Make sure not only to rely on Him for help but be sure to recognize him. Thank Him for not only what He does but Who He is.
Philippians 4:13 WEB "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"
John 14:6 WEB " Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Lastly, while you seek your dream job, be open to God leading you to a new opportunity that He has prepared for you. Trust in His timing and provision.
