Pray fervently!
Let us first thank our Holy God for His love and care for us. We know that He is the one who gives us the ability to work and provide for ourselves. He is also a God of order and principle. So we come to Him in Jesus' Name to ask for His Will to be done in your situation.
He instructs those in authority over us, like your boss, to be respectful, fair, and not threatening in Ephesians 6:3 WEB. Serve with a good heart, as to the Lord, not to men; knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive this back from the Lord, whether he is bound or free.
We also know that we are to obey the laws given by those in authority as long as it does not go against God's law. It is not clear if your boss's reluctance to let you manage the unit is a moral or ethical issue as per your request. However, if it is just a disagreement, an appeal can be made to a higher power in the company as outlined in the book of Acts. Acts 25:9-12 WEB.
Let's take inspiration from Paul, who appealed to Caesar after finding himself in a similar predicament. He did not let his rights be trampled upon, but neither did he take revenge. He followed established procedures to find recourse. We pray you will have this same wisdom.
Dear heavenly Father, our prayer is to ask for Your Will to be done in this situation concerning ###'s boss. Give us wisdom and courage through the words and examples given us in the World English Bible. Let us show love and concern by considering their situation and praying for their righteousness and salvation. We know that You care about our work situation and have provided us guidance in our relationships with our employers. Our prayer is for Your Will to be done in this situation in Jesus' name we pray.
Let us not forget to pray also for your boss. Let us examine ourselves and let the Holy Spirit point out our flaws. When we examine ourselves, there may be changes that God needs us to make. Let us remember that God is in control of everything that happens in our lives and in this situation with your boss. When we approach this situation with a heart of service, we will be provided with what God intends to do, and He intends to be Glorified. Let us be sure to thank God for His provision in this situation in advance because it truly does already exist in the spiritual realm.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
