We are glad to hear about the close bond between you and your colleague, but we would like to remind you that the most important relationship you can have is with God Himself, through His Son Jesus Christ. It is wonderful to have close friends, but we should always ensure that our friendships do not become idols that take God's place in our lives. Let us remind you of God's Word to us.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21 WEB
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27 WEB
We see that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father.
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 WEB
in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him. Ephesians 3:12 WEB
We encourage both of you to put God first in your lives and to seek Him together as friends. We pray that God will continue to strengthen your friendship as you grow closer to Him.
Dear Lord, we lift up Charles and R.Sangeetha to you. We thank you for their close friendship. We pray that you would draw them both even closer to you, Lord. Help them to put you first in their lives and to honor you in all that they do. We ask that their friendship would be a Godly one, encouraging one another and building one another up in Christ, in whose name we pray. We pray that if they have not already, that they would accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We pray that they would be filled with the Holy Spirit and that they would live their lives in a manner that is pleasing to you, Lord. We pray for God's blessings on their friendship and for the salvation of their souls.
It is also important to address that friendship with the opposite sex can sometimes lead to situations that are not pleasing to God. We encourage you both to set boundaries and to remain pure in your friendship. Remember that God's Word tells us to flee from sexual immorality and to honor one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a person does is outside the body, but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods. 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB
Treat younger men as brothers, elder women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with all purity. 1 Timothy 5:2 WEB
It is our prayer that God will continue to strengthen your friendship, help you to make new friends, and will guide you both as you grow in your walk with Him.
