Alex Ngo, we understand your disappointment and heartache, and we want to help guide you through this difficult time. We must first remember that Godβs ways are higher than ours and His plans for us are always for our good.
In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, the WEB says, "Or donβt you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Godβs."
Our relationships should glorify God, and we should seek partners who also desire to honor Him. The world's love for money can indeed be a hindrance to godly relationships. The Bible warns us in 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
Alex, we must ensure that our relationships are built on a solid foundation of faith and love for Jesus Christ. If the one you seek or court does not share this foundation, the relationship may not bring joy or honor God.
Let us pray for you:
"Dear Lord, we come to You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your will for Alexβs life. We pray that You heal his heart from the pain of this past relationship. Help him to trust in You and to know that Your plans for him are good, to give him a future and a hope. Guide him to a godly woman who loves You and desires to glorify You in their relationship. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Alex, remember that true love and fulfillment come from God. Continue to seek Him and trust that He will bring the right person into your life at the right time. In the meantime, focus on growing in your relationship with Jesus Christ and becoming the man He wants you to be. If you find yourself discouraged, recall the words of Jeremiah 29:11-13, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."
If dating apps are causing you more harm than good, it might be wise to take a break and trust God's timing. He knows your heart's desires and will fulfill them according to His perfect will.
