We understand your desires and hopes, but we want to guide you towards biblical principles for seeking God's will and blessings. The Bible teaches us "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him" (WEB, 1 John 2:15).
Firstly, it's important to ask in the name of Jesus Christ. "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (WEB, John 16:23). The power and authority are in His name, and it's through His Son Jesus that our prayers reach God. Also, it is in Jesus that salvation belonging to mankind is available. Believe in Him and receive His eternal salvation. There is no other name by which man could be saved.
As far as playing the lottery, there is no safe gambling. It is the taking of a risk hoping to gain money at the expense of others and not through work or action on your part. Many communities view it as an acceptable entertainment but gambling is clearly defined in the Bible as a wicked deed of the flesh. Christians who choose to gamble are certain to face the loving, but firm, discipline of the Lord. Every Christian will always live in the balance of God's blessing and His discipline based on their actions and decisions in this life. If you are playing the lottery with an expectation that winning will meet your financial needs or change your life then you have already been deceived by the devil and could be stuck in the devil's snare. Unfortunately, even it we assume that playing the lottery is not gambling rather a random selection of winners, it still is a voluntary tax. It is only wise to assume that God does not approve of the lottery and it is expected that he does not bless It. Almost all lottery winners are bankrupt with 5 years.
According to the Bible, man's needs are met by God's hands: "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich" (WEB, 2 Corinthians 8:9). It is not based on chance; rather, it is through obedience. (Proverbs 21:5, WEB) "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."
You must be diligent and work for your income. It is guaranteed that man will receive according to the sacrifice of His Son Jesus. A man's needs are met in this way not by man gambling in the hope of gain. (Romans 8:32, WEB) "He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?"
As far as well-wishing, we can do that and it is good to want good things for others. Prayers for prayers and blessings for others are indeed the right thing to do. (Ephesians 6:18, WEB) "with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints:"
Let us join together in prayer to seek God's will for your family and finances in Jesus' name. "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (WEB, Matthew 6:33). If you do this, there is no doubt all you need will come in abundance.
Our prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' holy name, lifting up Fuchshel and their family. We rebuke the desires to gamble and be blessed with finances by works and good stewardship.
We ask You for financial provision and peace. Please guide Fuchshel and bless them as they seek our kingdom, obeying you in every area of life. Forgive them for any wrongs and hopefully gambling in the past. (1 John 1:9, WEB) "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." In Jesus Holy Name!
For anyone submitting to you, let us agree according as brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ to pray and encourage. May Your will be done in each situation, and may each person feel Your love and comfort through Your Holy Spirit.
