We join you in prayer that our Heavenly Father will grant you a wise and understanding heart, just as He did for Solomon when he asked for wisdom in 1 Kings 3:9-14 WEB
Now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king instead of David my father. I am but a little child. I don’t know how to go out or come in. Your servant is in the middle of your people which you have chosen, a great people, that can’t be numbered nor counted for multitude. Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this your great people?
The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. God said to him, Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself long life, neither have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice; behold, I have done according to your word. Behold, I have given you a wise and an understanding heart; so that there has been none like you before you, neither after you shall any arise like you.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking that You bestow upon Your child a wise and understanding heart. Grant them the wisdom to steward all that You have entrusted to them, and the understanding to seek You with all their heart. Help them to pour out their soul before You in prayer, and to learn effectively from Your Word.
We also pray for healing. Touch their teeth and eyes, Lord, and grant them complete and final healing in the name of Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose again, making it possible for us to boldly approach Your throne.
We claim Your promise in Proverbs 13:20 WEB, "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but a companion of fools will suffer harm." May Your child walk with the wise and become wise, growing in understanding and knowledge of Your Word.
Lastly, we pray that Your child will always remember that it is Jesus Christ through which we have access to God. It is only through His name that we can be saved and call on God the Father through it. It is stated in Acts 4:10-12 WEB be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
