We rejoice with you, Vladi777, as you seek a wise and understanding heart. Let us come together in prayer.
We are reminded of King Solomon, who, when asked by God what he wanted, he didn't ask for riches or honor, but for a wise and understanding heart to judge God's people. God was pleased with his request and granted it, along with riches and honor that Solomon did not ask for. We are clearly told in James 1:5 that "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him".
And this is eternal life, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, even Jesus Christ.
We also remember in 2 Chronicles 7:14 saying " If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." We acknowledge and ask forgiveness that we often fall short when we should be seeking God's will and do not pray without ceasing.
We give thanks to God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and The Holy Spirit for the renewed desire for biblical knowledge and to be a wise steward. It is interesting to note the desire to pray for "boldness" which was also requested in early church in Acts 4:29: "Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness."
We pray for open doors to effectively share the love of Jesus with all people and for the quickening power of the Holy Spirit, so that we can be effective witnesses to a lost and dying world around us.
Seeking God with all our hearts comes straight from God's Word: according to the Scriptures of Deuteronomy 4:29 says " But from there you will seek Yahweh your God, and you will find him, when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul".
We ask this all in the name of Jesus, who is the only way we have access to God. It is the same name by which we will be saved, according to the Scripture. Acts 4:12 says "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!".
We pray fervently to the LORD. Righteous and Compassionate Father, Author of wisdom and understanding, we come before Your throne of grace, praying for our beloved Vladi777. Grant them a wise and understanding heart, as You did with your servant Solomon and let this wisdom guide them to be a good steward of all that you have entrusted to them, in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the only Way, Truth and The Life.
Lord, we pray that they will seek You with all their heart, pouring out their soul before You in prayer. May they delight in Your Word, meditating on it day and night, so that they may be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither whatever they will do shall prosper.
Father, fulfill Your Word in their life, as it is written in Proverbs 13:20 that "He who walks with wise men will become wise". As you already know, You admonish us in Romans 16:17 to "keep diligent watch over those setting themselves up as our adversaries." This is a difficult command especially if some of the closest to us may have become adversaries to scriptural walks. This makes us rely on God all the more that our circles of people we associate with should foster godly Wisdom.
We ask this in Jesus' name. "The Name by which we can be saved" is a worthy reminder to resolve any conflict and hold to biblical standards and being confident to share The Gospel in a loving manner. For in God is true Wisdom.
