How do we overcome principalities and powers controlling a nation? Are these spirits destined to operate in the atmosphere forever?

I just need clarity. What does it mean that God is sovereign over principalities and powers. And what does it mean that believers have authority in simple terms? In the spiritual realm, there are indeed principalities and powers at work, as mentioned in Ephesians 6:12: "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." These spirits are not destined to operate forever; they have been defeated by Jesus Christ through His death and resurrection. As it is written in Colossians 2:15, "Having disarmed principalities and powers, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."
To overcome these spirits, we must first put on the whole armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:13-18. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With this spiritual armor, we can stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
Prayer is our most powerful weapon against these principalities and powers. As Christians, we have the authority to cast out demons and pray against the spiritual forces controlling a nation. As Jesus said in Mark 16:17, "These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages."
Let us pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, acknowledging Your sovereignty over all principalities and powers. We put on the whole armor of God and stand firm against the schemes of the devil. We pray against the spiritual forces controlling nations, and we cast them out in Jesus' name. We pray that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask this In Jesus name."
Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. We must remain vigilant in prayer and steadfast in our faith, knowing that the victory has already been won by Jesus Christ. As it is written in 1 John 4:4, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."
Lastly, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
