Miranda, we join you in your petition before the throne of grace, seeking God's wisdom and guidance in your life.
Let us first address your desire to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading. The Word of God promises, "But the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you donโt need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him" (1 John 2:27 WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit will indeed guide you into all truth, convicting you of any sin that may hinder your fellowship with the Lord, and drawing you closer to Him.
Regarding ungodly relationships, we are reminded, "Donโt be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). We pray that God will indeed remove any harmful relationships that seek to destroy and distract you from His purposes.
We stand with you in interceding for your family, that God will soften their hearts and draw them to Himself. As Ezekiel 36:26 (WEB) declares, "I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." We pray that they will encounter the love of Christ, turn away from their sins, and find salvation in Him.
About the invitation from this woman, we encourage you to be cautious and discerning. If this church has previously caused harm, it is wise to be wary. The Bible warns us, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheepโs clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves" (Matthew 7:15 WEB). We pray that God will give you wisdom and reveal any hidden dangers. If this event is not pleasing to God, we trust that He will provide another, better way for your parents to hear the Gospel.
Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name. As Scripture tells us, "In none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and can find salvation.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up Miranda and her family. We ask that You fill her with Your Holy Spirit, guiding her in all truth and wisdom. Remove any harmful relationships and protect her from the schemes of the enemy. Soften the hearts of her family, Lord, and draw them to Your saving grace. Give Miranda discernment regarding this event, and if it is not of You, provide another way for her parents to know You. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
