Let us join together in prayer and counsel for Nochaeld, who seeks wisdom, guidance, and unity in both their job search and spiritual life.
Firstly, we are encouraged by Nochaeld's acknowledgment of God's will and the power of Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Nochaeld seeks a remote job with specific criteria, and we pray that God opens the right door in His perfect timing. In Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), we are reminded to "trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that Nochaeld's job search is guided by God, and that they find a suitable position that also allows quality time with their wife.
We commend Nochaeld for desiring to pray and read God's Word together with their spouse. This is a beautiful way to cultivate spiritual unity in a marriage. As Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (WEB) tells us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." We pray that their bond strengthens as they grow together in faith.
However, we must also gently address the request to watch a good movie together every night. While enjoying leisure time together is important, we encourage Nochaeld to prioritize time spent in God's Word and in prayer.
