We rejoice with you, Saraha, in the work that has been accomplished, and we join you in thanking the Heavenly Father for the strength and endurance provided to complete the task of shoveling the snow off the drive. It is wonderful to hear that you were able to start your truck and that you did not lose power during the storm. In every circumstance, we are called to give thanks, and we are grateful for your heart of gratitude. Unfortunately, we cannot say do not let a storm come.
As we approach the upcoming storm on Friday, we are reminded of Jesus' words in Matthew 10:29 WEB: "Aren't two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will." Just as the sparrows do not fall without the Father's knowledge, neither does the storm come without His divine will and allowance.
We turn to the Word of God for guidance on prayer in alignment with His will.
1 John 5:14-15 WEB: "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
Instead of praying for the storm to be averted, we pray for God's will to be done and for His protection and provision during the storm. We also remember the words of the Lord that He will be with us.
Isaiah 43:2 WEB: "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you."
Join us in praying this way:
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the blessings that we are able to see. No matter what happens, God's will be done. We ask that You help Saraha clean off the truck and provide safety during the upcoming storm. We pray for healing and recovery to Saraha's brother. Your will be done, Father, in Jesus' name. We ask that You protect the area from any significant damage and that You provide for the needs of those who may be affected. We pray for Your will to be done and for Your name to be glorified through those that will walk in the light of Jesus Christ on the other side of the troubles.
In the WEB Bible, Matthew 7:7-11 says "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!"
We are instructed to pray fervently and frequently. We are to be specific in our requests and always align them with the will of the Father. We also pray for the brother to recover from the flu.
It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. It is great Saraha prayed and included these important words In Jesus Name.
