We join with you, barbaracottle, in praying against the high winds you are experiencing. We stand in agreement, knowing that Jesus has authority over the winds and the waves. In Matthew 8:23-27 WEB, we read:
"When he got into a boat, his disciples followed him. Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep. They came to him, and woke him up, saying, Lord, save us! We are dying! He said to them, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm. The men marveled, saying, What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your protection and calm over the high winds that barbaracottle is experiencing. Just as You commanded the storms and skies only you control the weather. The bible says the winds are controlled by you in Matthew 4;4
"and he answered and said The Spirit of the Lord hath carried me and the word of the Lord supported me" so we call on your power and Word since he is calling in Jesus name. You are faithful and just and we claim your protection for barbaracottle It is great that this was prayed in Jesus name but we have assurance that as believers in Jesus name we have the access to God the father when we call on the name of Jesus Christ. It is only in that name by which we have to be saved and there is no other name by which we can talk to God the father for our problems and for forgiveness of sins.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, barbaracottle, knowing that God is in control and He hears your prayers. Stand firm in your faith, knowing that He is with you even in the midst of the storm. As it says in Psalm 11:5 "May your eyes see things that are honest."
