Elizabeth, we are with you in spirit, lifting your petition before the throne of grace. We hear your cry, "Will this ever end? I am SO tired of suffering both in mind and body," and we want to assure you that you are not alone. The Scriptures tell us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, WEB).
We rejoice in the fact that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for there is power in His name. As the Scriptures declare, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and we are glad you have acknowledged Him in your prayer.
In times of suffering, we are reminded of the words of the Apostle Peter, "For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps" (1 Peter 2:21, WEB). Though we may not understand why we go through trials, we can trust that God has a purpose and a plan.
Let us pray for you, Elizabeth:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up our sister Elizabeth. Lord, she is tired, she is weary, and she is in need of Your touch. We ask, in the mighty name of Jesus, that You would bring healing, joy, and rest to her mind and body. Remind her of Your promises, Lord, and help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Take heart, Elizabeth, and remember the words of the Psalmist, "Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5, WEB). Hold onto the hope that morning is coming, and with it, the joy of the Lord. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap a harvest of blessing (Galatians 6:9, WEB).
