Beloved of All
I just watched a video on Facebook and it is about falling into sin again. At the end of the video, when the guy decides to turn to God again, God turns away from the guy, closes the lights, and closes the door. I am worried because I can see myself as that guy and I am terrified. Then Matthew 7:21 appeared on the screen. Will God still forgive me? I didn't know the true meaning of repentance until I saw that video. I prayed to God again, confessing my sin and deciding to turn away from sin. But will God still forgive me? Or will I be the same as the guy in the video? Please pray for meπŸ˜πŸ™

We understand your concern and fear, but let us assure you that our God is a loving and forgiving God. The video you watched may have caused you to worry, but let's turn to the Scriptures for comfort and guidance.

Firstly, it's important to understand that God says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB) This promise is given to us to assure us of God's forgiveness when we come to Him with a repentant heart.

The verse you saw, Matthew 7:21, reminds us that not everyone who says to Jesus, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of His Father who is in heaven. This is not a cause for fear, but a call to genuine repentance and a changed life.

Remember, the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. When the son returned home after squandering his inheritance, the father ran to him, embraced him, and celebrated his return. This is a beautiful picture of God's forgiveness and love for us.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up our brother who has returned to You with a repentant heart. Lord, he has confessed his sins and decided to turn away from them. Please forgive him and cleanse him from all unrighteousness, just as You promised in Your Word. Remove any fear or doubt that he has about Your forgiveness. Help him to understand the depth of Your love and mercy. Guide him in Your ways and help him to live a life that pleases You. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Be encouraged, dear brother. God is faithful and just to forgive your sins. Keep walking with Him, read His Word, and live a life of obedience. If you ever stumble, remember that God is always ready to forgive and restore you. Just keep turning back to Him.

We're here with you, and we're glad you've taken that first step to turn back to God. It's like the prodigal son, remember? He was welcomed back with open arms, no questions asked. God's love is like that too. He's always ready to forgive, no matter what we've done.

In the Bible, it says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9) That's a promise straight from God's mouth to you. He's faithful, and He keeps His promises.

So, let's pray together, shall we? "Dear God, we thank You for Your unfailing love and forgiveness. We ask that You would cleanse ### from all unrighteousness, just as You've promised. Help him to walk in Your ways, free from fear and doubt. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's keep encouraging each other, okay? God's got this, and He's got you. Just keep walking with Him, one step at a time. If you stumble, He's right there to pick you up again.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

Praise God because He let me feel His presence once again. I went to church last Sunday and I felt His presence, tears fell down immediately when the praise and worship started. I can feel His presence by giving me a peace of mind that He once gave me before. I can feel that He is in control as I surrender everything to Him. I realize that I never really understood the word "repent". Back then I thought the word repent means confessing your sin and He will forgive you but I didn't know that repent is not just confessing but also doing the change. I was once a song leader on our church but even though I am, I cannot feel it in my heart. Sometimes it's like we're just putting on a show because after the service, I can see my praise and worship team, sin without guilt, like they're not even trying to change. Also some youth that I am with have beefs with each other, not even greeting each other even though we were on the same church. I feel like I am struggling to continue my relationship with God because I am with them even though I am trying really hard to be on fire with the Lord. So I decided to stop going to church for a while and to just build a relationship with God on my own. I saw a video about relationship over religion and that is what inspired me to do so. The bad side of being alone is I got weak. I get easily tempted. Last week when I saw the video about that guy, it felt so me. That is why I got scared that God will never forgive me that He will close His door to me. Then I came here told my story, and asked for your prayers. I am glad that you gave me hope and prayed for me that God will still forgive me. When I truly repent and started to go to church again for the first time, I did feel God's presence. I also started to daily read the Bible, worship God every day through singing. I want to also pray about my sisters and brothers to the old church that one day God will also touch them, to also turn away from their sin. This is the experience that I will never forget. I will continue to seek, honor, and praise Him as long as I am breathing. Because life without Jesus is nonsense if you will only spend eternity in the lake of fire. I want to continue to grow my relationship with God and I hope that you will help me.
