My wife cheated and wants a divorce; she has lied to me and put me out of her house that was supposed to be for us. The man she is seeing shot my house up and broke into her first house that she got when she left me the first time. I've never put her out; I told her she is always welcome to come back when she wants to. So after he broke into her house, I told her to come back, and she did later after she got her another place to stay. He then came and shot my house up. Now she has a place, but I'm looking for a place. Yes, I'm outside for now. She said she wants a divorce but still be friends for the boys and grandchildren. As God reminds me to be kind to those who despicably use you, I do love my wife. God also reminds me, men, love your wife; do not leave. So I'm standing in the gap, praying for my marriage, and asking for prayer as well.

We are truly saddened to hear about the trials you are facing in your marriage. Let us stand with you in prayer and remind you of God's word during this challenging time.

Firstly, let's remember what God says about marriage: "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." (Mark 10:9 WEB) Marriage is a sacred union, and God's heart is for reconciliation and restoration.

However, we must also address the sin of adultery that has entered into your marriage. God's word is clear: "You shall not commit adultery." (Exodus 20:14 WEB) But remember, God is willing to forgive and restore those who truly repent. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB)

Regarding your wife's request for divorce, God's word says, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don't be unfaithful." (Malachi 2:16 WEB)

We applaud your commitment to kindness and love, as God instructs us: "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," (Matthew 5:44 WEB)

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our brother who is hurting and in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and forgiveness for the sin that has entered into this marriage. We pray for a spirit of repentance and a desire for restoration.

Please provide for his needs, Lord, as he is in a difficult situation. Guide him to a safe and stable living environment. We also pray for his wife, that You would soften her heart and turn her back to You and her husband.

Grant him the strength to continue to love and forgive, just as You have loved and forgiven us. We ask for Your will to be done in this situation, and we trust that You can bring beauty from these ashes.
