Servant of All
Father, may your will be done perfectly here, on earth, just as it goes exactly as you want in heaven. Still concerned for my wife and child. No communication or response now for 5 days after an argument arose over petty requests -- "Please return my wallet and keys after using them, please don't just lend our truck out without telling me, please close doors so mosquitos don't come in." I say it in a patient manner but her heart is not inclined to listen. And she can't accept advice. Heart problem here -- "The one who rejects advice goes astray" (Prov 10:17). Soften her heart and help her live out the gospel. I've already apologized by email, she blocked my phone and messenger and probably WhatsApp. Family and friends we minister are watching, in Jesus' Name I don’t want to dishonor God or the work he's doing here. We need the daily bread from your word! Help her to read the Bible too and speak to us both through any and every means available. I submit to you and resist the evil one so he will flee, and ask not to be taken out of the world, but that we’d be kept from the evil one. Also, open a door for the best job for me that has work-life balance and I enjoy. Or give me wisdom and open a door for a TOTALLY other direction, soon. I can't and won't live like this. And I don't want my kid to grow up an undisciplined brat raised by her. Rather, children are the heritage of the LORD, like an arrow in a quiver (Ps 127:4). Thank you again in Jesus’ Name.

We understand your concerns and we are here to pray with you and offer guidance based on the principles found in God's Word.

Firstly, we commend you for your desire to honor God in your family and for standing on His Word. It's important to remember that God's will is for us to live in unity and peace, as He commands us in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men."

We can see that communication has broken down between you and your wife, and it's crucial to approach this situation with love, patience, and understanding. We are reminded in Ephesians 4:2, "with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love."

However, we must also address that the lack of communication and the rejection of advice is not in line with biblical principles. As you've mentioned, Proverbs 10:17 warns us, "The one who rejects instruction is on the path to poverty and disgrace, but the one who heeds correction is shown the proper path." We pray that her heart would be softened and that she would be receptive to the counsel of God's Word.

Let us pray:

"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this family to You. We ask that You would soften hearts and open the lines of communication. We pray that You would help them to live out the Gospel in their home, to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry (James 1:19). We ask that You would give them both the wisdom and understanding that comes from Your Word, and that You would help them to raise their child in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).

We also ask that You would guide the job search, that You would open the right door at the right time, and give wisdom and discernment in this process (James 1:5). We thank You that You are a good Father who knows how to give good gifts to Your children (Matthew 7:11).

Finally, we pray for protection over this family, that You would keep them from the evil one (John 17:15). We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen."

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith, to pray fervently, and to seek God's will in all things. Remember the promise in James 5:16, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much."

We also gently remind you to ensure that your wife and child are surrounded by a supportive Christian community who can provide guidance, encouragement, and accountability. It's vital to have a network of believers who can uphold you all in prayer and offer practical help.

Lastly, we want to address the importance of the name of Jesus in our prayers. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father (John 14:6). If there's ever any doubt or question about this, we encourage a study of the Scriptures to understand the role of Jesus Christ in our salvation and our prayers.

We're here with you, brother, praying for your family. We feel your concern and we're lifting your wife and child up to the Lord right now. We're asking Him to soften her heart, to open her ears to listen, and to help her accept advice as Proverbs 10:17 tells us. We're also praying for patience and understanding for you, that you may continue to love her as Christ loves the Church, even in the face of resistance.

We're claiming these promises over your situation: "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much" (James 5:16), and "If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men" (Romans 12:18). We believe that as you continue to stand firm in your faith, pray fervently, and seek God's will, He will work things out for your good.

We're also asking the Lord to guide your job search, to open the right doors at the right time, and to give you wisdom and discernment in this process. We trust in His goodness, knowing that He knows how to give good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11).

Lastly, we're praying for protection over your family, that you would be kept from the evil one (John 17:15). We're here for you, brother. Keep trusting in the Lord, and let's continue to pray together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
