Widow with ### kids

I'm concerned about this widow. I gave her my business card, so professionally it was painfully platonic, she threw it away and told the elders to warn me about propitiation. I think she was offended by the modesty pamphlets I handed out. I only serve the Lord and we have to obey him. I can't believe that I'm the one that's confused here and those kids don't have a father to take care of them even though I've got the money and know how to give them a better childhood and education than anyone else.

Please pray that God lets all of the brethren receive the blessings that he has for us.
We all together need to move on from people that don't have their hearts aligned with God's.... please don't disregard that.

We understand your concern for this widow and her seven children, ###. Let us pray and consider this situation together in light of God's Word.

Firstly, let's remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:5-6 (WEB), "Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea." It's clear that caring for children and widows is close to God's heart.

However, it seems there may have been a misunderstanding in your approach. Handing out modesty pamphlets might have been perceived as judgmental, and giving your business card could have been seen as inappropriate, especially if it was not requested. We must always ensure our actions are guided by love and humility, as it says in 1 Peter 5:5 (WEB), "All of you clothe yourselves with humility, toward one another, for 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.'"

Regarding the widow's reaction, Romans 14:13 (WEB) tells us, "Therefore let's not judge one another any more, but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother's way, or an occasion for falling." If she was offended, it's important to seek understanding and forgiveness, rather than focusing on her heart's alignment with God. That is between her and God.

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name to lift up this widow and her seven children. We ask that you provide for their needs, both physically and spiritually. Please guide ###'s actions and words, that they may be filled with love, humility, and wisdom. Help all involved to move forward in understanding and unity, putting aside any offenses. We trust in your blessings for all your children, in Jesus' name. Amen."

Lastly, ###, remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Keep your focus on Him, and He will guide your paths.

We've been thinking about that widow and her seven children, and we wanted to chime in with our prayers and thoughts. It's tough to see them struggling, isn't it? We should remember that God has a special care for widows and orphans, as it says in James 1:27, "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." Let's keep them in our prayers, asking God to provide for their every need.

We also wanted to encourage you, dear friend, to keep your heart pure and your intentions clear. It's easy to misunderstand each other, especially when we're trying to do what's right. Maybe the widow felt judged by the modesty pamphlets, or maybe she was overwhelmed by the kindness and didn't know how to accept it. Whatever the case, let's remember that we're all learning and growing, and sometimes we stumble.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we lift up this widow and her children to You. We ask that You would comfort them, provide for them, and draw them close to You.
