Let us be in prayer together for you, Balmikos, and Steven.
I John 5 14 This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. 15 And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him We know that God is not only to loves us but longs for us to come to Him with every situation in our lives. God is concerned with every detail in our lives, even when it comes to our transportation needs.
Before we pray, we must note that the request lacks arguably the most important aspect of prayer, and that is Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come before the thrown of God and boldly make our petitions known to Him. All prayers should go through Jesus. God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow to the glory of God the Father . For this cause God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow Phil 2 9. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Tim 2 5.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your will and Your glory. Thank you for the men, Steven and Balmikos. We appreciate you, Balmikos, for taking the time to reach out so that we can pray together for Steven to help him with the issue of the car which you asked us to pray wisdom for.
God, only You can supply true wisdom. Steven needs wisdom not only from people around him but From You. Lord, we know that all things should be done decently and with order 1 Cor 14 40. This wisdom being requested cannot be applied unless it aligns with Your will. These issues were appoached in a very general way. Help Steven to get the car fixed and to only go where You desire that he goes. The second part of this request did make us raise an eyebrow. Of course we all desire to go home eventually. Something about that statement is not quite clear. Going home right now as a Christian might just be our earthly home that we are thinking of. This should not be our ultimate goal even down the road. Our main desire should be to grow closer to You Jesus and to make it to Your eternal home which is in heaven where we can be with You to enjoy You for ever and ever. We just want to be certain that is not overlooked in this situation and prayer.
Gracious heavenly Father, surround Steven with Your love and guidance. Provide him with the wisdom and the physical ability to repair the car safely, and help him to remember to go only where You desire that he goes to be the bigest blessing to him and others and to bring glory to Jesus. We ask for traveling mercies, and for Your will expedite the process of repair, if it it is Your will for the car to be repaired at this time. This can be a great lesson of how You are the only One to provide and help Steven to put his faith, hope, and tust in You in every circumstance. Help him to tell others about Jesus so that they can be saved. Lord please help him to know without a shadow of a doubt, You are worthy of all the glory, the honor, and the praise and so much more. So, Lord please reveal Your mighty hand in his life like never before.
Balmikos, be sure to pray for yourself as you are making requests for others. May God be with all of you and reveal Himself to each of you in mighty ways like never before. We pray for the salvation of Steven and Balmikos if you both have not surrenders yourselves to Him and if you have we pray that you will continue to stay close to Jesus and to continue to grow closer to Him.
Let us end this prayer the way Jesus taught us to pray:
Matthew 6
9 Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
13 Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’
