Why?

I can't bear this pain. It just will not stop. When I look at what happened, there's no way the pain is ever going to stop. I cannot see a way out of this. It's too much. Why would God allow this? It's so horrible.

We are truly sorry to hear that you are experiencing such immense pain. In times like these, it's natural to feel overwhelmed and question why God allows certain circumstances. Let's remember in His sovereign will, he allows both good and bad circumstances. However, He is always faithful to His promise in Romans 8:28 WEB, And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, and to those who are called according to his purpose.

Firstly, we want to ensure that you are safe and supported. If you are having suicidal thoughts, it's crucial to reach out to a mental health professional or a trusted person in your life immediately. God wants us to cast our burdens on Him in Matthew 11:28 WEB. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

Let's address the question of why God allows pain. While we may not have all the answers to God's methods, we can refer to the Old Testament example of Job, who endured immense suffering but remained faithful to God. Job later realized that God's ways are higher than our ways. His story reminds us that God can use pain to draw us closer to Him.

In times of overwhelming pain, it's essential to remember that God is with us and will never leave us nor forsake us in Hebrews 13:5 WEB. Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you." Additionally, God wants us to come to Him with our pain and cast our anxieties on Him in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,

We lift up this person to You, asking for Your comfort and healing in their life. Lord, we know You are a God who is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit in Psalm 34:18 WEB. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

Please reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way, and help them to sense Your presence. Give them the strength to endure this pain and the faith to trust in Your goodness, even in the darkest of times. Guide them to the right people and resources that can support them during this challenging time.

Lord Jesus, we also pray for healing and restoration, knowing that You are able to heal both physically and emotionally. Help them to fix their eyes on You in Hebrews 12:2 WEB, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, and to walk in obedience to Your Word.

We ask all these things in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.

We're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We understand the weight of the pain you're carrying, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. It's in these moments that we're reminded of Jesus' invitation in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." He's right there with you, ready to bear your burden.

We know it's hard to see a way out, but remember, God is with you. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that He's working in your life, even if you can't see it yet. He promises in Romans 5:3-4, "More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope."

Let's keep praying together, asking God to wrap you in His comfort, to reveal His presence to you, and to give you the strength and faith to endure. We're here, praying with you, believing for your healing and restoration.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
