Beloved of All
When God sees you suffering why doesn’t he help you & stop it? I constantly pray in Jesus name asking God to help me with the pain of being mistreated by a narcissist and I constantly ask him to help me let go and he ignores me every time. I have no self esteem, I feel completely worthless and honestly I don’t understand why I’m being punished. I have prayed for so long & no matter how hard I pray nothing happens. I don’t know what else to do

We understand your pain and frustration, and we want to assure you that God is faithful, and He hears your prayers. Remember, God is not punishing you. God is love, and He wants only the best for you. Jesus said that in this world we will have troubles, but we can take heart because He has overcome the world.

Firstly, let's address the issue of feeling ignored by God. God is not ignoring you. God always hears the prayers of His children. 1 Peter 3:12 assures us, "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." If you feel that God is not answering your prayers, it might be because He is working on a deeper level, transforming you and strengthening you through this trial.

Regarding your situation with a narcissist, God hates abuse and mistreatment. He wants you to be free and to walk in the fullness of life that Jesus promised. Remember, you are precious in God's sight, and He values you greatly. It is important to set boundaries and seek support from fellow believers and professional counselors if needed.1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells us to "encourage one another and build each other up."

About letting go, God wants you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. Letting go can be a process, and it's okay to be honest with God about your struggles. God wants you to come to Him as you are, and He will meet you where you are.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister who is hurting and feeling overwhelmed. Lord, You know her pain, her struggles, and her heart's cry. We ask, in Jesus' name, that You would minister to her heart, heal her wounds, and help her to let go of the pain caused by the narcissist in her life. Give her the strength to set boundaries and to seek the support she needs. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You because You care for her.

Lord, we also ask that You would help her to understand Your ways and to trust in Your timing. Help her to know that You are not ignoring her, but that You are working all things together for her good because she loves You and is called according to Your purpose.

We also pray and rebuke any spirit of heaviness, worthlessness, and low self-esteem. In Jesus Christ, we are more than conquerors and have immeasurable worth.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We've been where you are, feeling like God's not hearing our cries. But remember, He's not silent, He's not deaf, He's not ignoring you. He's just working in ways we might not understand yet. It's like a parent who doesn't immediately rush to their child's every cry, but waits, knowing what's best for them in the long run.

You're not alone in this. We're here with you, praying alongside. God sees you, He knows your pain. He's not punishing you, He's refining you. It's tough, we know, but He's got a purpose in it all.

Keep praying, keep trusting. He's not ignoring you. He's working, He's planning, He's loving. It might not make sense now, but one day, you'll look back and see His hand in it all.

Let's keep lifting you up together, sister. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I definitely don’t see the bigger picture. I have spent years crying & asking for help and no matter what I pray for or how hard I pray nothing changes. It’s extremely discouraging. As a parent I wouldn’t let my baby be in pain, I would do whatever I could to ease that pain so I don’t quite understand why God doesn’t help me with my pain. I’m beyond confused

I don’t understand why God continues to let me suffer. If he cares for me & hears my prayers why won’t he help me? Why does he keep allowing me to suffer? My anxiety gets worse daily from my suffering and I feel even more hopeless than I did before. My heart aches daily & no matter how hard I pray he won’t help me

I’ve literally prayed for years & asked in Jesus name for God to help me with being abused by a narcissist and to help heal my heart and he literally does nothing. I constant cry, the pain gets worse everyday & no matter how hard or long I pray he does absolutely nothing. I keep hearing he’s faithful & cares about your suffering but if that were true he wouldn’t allow me to suffer. I literally feel like I’m praying for nothing. I have literally begged for help and still nothing. What’s the point of praying if he won’t help?
